Right in the middle of it came Beautiful Rewind, an album where his love of UK club music came even more to the fore. For a while they threatened to become the biggest electronic group around, but for whatever reason it never quite happened. It can be quite hard to define a lot of this EP, but the low end, right down in the mix, I guess puts it broadly in that post-dubstep catch-all that a lot of this got caught up in. Jacob's Mouse were a short-lived indie rock trio from West Suffolk's biggest town, who over the course of four years put out three albums and eight or so singles on a variety of labels including Rough Trade, but mostly Wiiija, who released this EP in 1992. Bury's a weird place, being sandwiched between the better known outposts of Cambridge, Ipswich and Newmarket, failing to really develop much of an identity of it's own, but always having a fairly active rock band scene. There's a fair American influence about the place too, due to the presence of a number of USAF air bases in the area, who'd send their kids to the local schools.
