Four Tet - There Is Love In You [Domino]

SECOND HAND

Year: 2010

Condition: VG +/VG +

Is this Four Tet's best studio album? I'd certainly argue so. From opener Angel Echoes through to the closing track She Just Likes To Fight this takes you on a journey through the sound of London in the early 2010s - an exciting time that saw musical styles emerge and take hold in a way not seen since the early 90s.

The standout here has to be Plastic People - a tribute to the now-closed Shoreditch nightspot that became the spot to hear a certain type of electronic music before it reached the masses. When it closed in 2015 it was Four Tet, along with close collaborator Floating Points that were tasked with playing the final set, a six hour marathon now archived on Soundcloud.
